Red Bull and League of Legends part to expand into the United States

Red Bull and the Riot Games League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) have announced that they will be partnering to launch this year's Red Bull Solo Q. The Red Bull Solo Q has been said to be the “ultimate 1v1 experience for amateur League of Legends (LoL) players.”. This year will be the first year that the unique competition will include American competitors, both the US and Canadian online qualifiers are set to begin this month.

Due to the release of the competition, Red Bull will be releasing the new Red Bull Solo Q cans. The design of the cans are set to feature League of Legend (LoL) champions Conqueror, Alistar, and Yasuo but will also have the competition branding on the cans. The limited edition cans will be available nationwide. The Red Bull Solo Q will begin in America on August 31st, with more information becoming available shortly before.

Head of NA Esports Partnerships and Business Development at Riot Games, Matt Archambault, commented in a release: “As a proud partner of the LCS, Red Bull always looks to impress and raise the bar for our fans year after year. In celebration of this unique competition experience for our respective communities, we’re also delighted for the first-ever Red Bull Solo Q Limited Edition cans to come to market.”
