NRG Esports acquire Army National Guard as team sponsor

North American eSports organisation NRG Esports have announced that they have acquired a new team sponsor the United States Army National Guard. The announcement came yesterday (Wednesday 24th June 2020) within the release, no details of how long the partnership would last or what terms would be within the deal have been publicly announced. This new team sponsor will join NRG’s large portfolio, Army National Guard will join the likes of Turtle Beach, Events DC, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, along with Legion by Lenovo who have specifically sponsored the Apex Legends team.

This new partnership has followed very quickly after last week’s announcement of NRG’s Call of Duty League franchise Chicago Huntsmen had partnered with the US Army. The United States Army National Guard currently has its own eSports teams and a team of soldiers content creators and streamers. The federal military reserve has recently entered into a partnership with Complexity Limit to sponsor some, or all content, around World of Warcraft’s Mythic Dungeon International.
