Nevada make betting possible for Call of Duty League 2020

The Nevada Gaming Control board has approved bookmakers to offer wagers on the Call of Duty league through 2020. The debate to allow this to happen has taken place over the last few months and it was only in the last week the notice got approved.

Throughout 2020 licensed bookmakers have now been allowed to issue posts and offers for all Call of Duty League matches, but as per the notice the bookmakers are only allowed to offer three different wagering types, head to head, match winner and overall winner. Under the notice, in-play betting is prohibited for the entirety of the league for 2020.

The Call of Duty league took the decision to entirely move to an online structure, this decision was taken on March 12th because of the world wide pandemic. Despite the pandemic Nevada bettors have got the first ever chance to bet on Call of Duty, the earliest opportunity for these punters will be as early as next weekend at the Chicago Huntsmen Home Series.

Big steps have been made with eSports betting in Nevada, with Call of duty now joining the likes of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends, Dota 2, iRacing and Overwatch, all of which were previously approved by the board in the last several weeks.
