The latest transfer rumours of Lionel Messi, Memphis Depay and Paul Pogba.

Lionel Messi / Barcelona - Manchester City

Lionel Messi has been heavily linked to Manchester City throughout the whole of last summers transfer window. Messi only has approximately 6 months left on his contract at Barcelona, the Spanish giants will either have to offer Messi an extension he can’t refuse or sell him within the winter transfer window. Due to the high wage requirements that Messi will ask for, a low number of clubs will be able to sign the Argentinian international.

David Alaba / Bayern Munich - Manchester United

Manchester United have been very weak at the back during the start of Premier League campaign. During the summer transfer window, United expressed their interest in the Austrian international and according to a release they have offered Bayern Munich near to £60m. If the deal goes through he will join Manchester United at the start of the winter transfer window.

Memphis Depay / Lyon - Barcelona

Depay has had a lot of interest from Ronald Koeman but despite his attempts to try and lure him away from Lyon, nothing has worked. Depay has spoken out about the interest from Barcelona and has said that he is “happy” at Lyon and he will not be moving in the winter transfer window. Barcelona are currently struggling to score goals and failing to secure 3 points from most games played under Koeman.

Gini Wijnaldum / Liverpool - Barcelona

Wijnaldum currently only has approximately 6 months left on his contract at Liverpool. This has left the dutch midfielder torn between signing a contract extension and moving to Barcelona. According to a press release, a deal between Liverpool and Barcelona has already been agreed and he will be set to leave in the winter transfer window.

Arkadiusz Milik / Napoli - Everton

Milik is linked to join Everton in the winter transfer window despite having competition from Tottenham. Everton currently has a lack of strikers, with Moise Kean being loaned out to French giants Paris Saint Germain this has left Everton very bare with attacking possibilities. The permanent signing of Milik will give Ancelotti more options giving their current No1 striker, Dominic Calvert-Lewin more of an incentive to carry on performing over fears of being replaced. The toffees could get Milik’s signature for about £10m because of his contract expiring next summer.

Paul Pogba / Manchester United - Juventus

Pogba has expressed that he isn’t happy at Manchester United and has been heavily linked with a move. Fans and the media have speculated that the French international will look to move on and the only club that has shown any sign of getting Pogba’s signature is Juventus. Fans believe that he won’t transfer in the winter transfer window but will make a move in the summer after the 2020/21 Premier League campaign.

Sergio Aguero / Manchester City - Independiente

Aguero has been at Manchester City for over 10 years after signing from Atletico Madrid. In 2015, he stated that in 2019 he would be open for a move to Independiente. This move could be on the cards for him again this transfer window but it’s likely that he won’t look to move until the summer transfer window.

Angel Di Maria - Paris Saint Germain
Olivier Giroud - Chelsea
Eric Garcia - Man City
Florian Thauvin - Marseille
Jerome Boateng - Bayern Munich
