Manchester United: Is Ole Gunnar Solskjær on borrowed time?

Manchester United faced off against Istanbul Basaksehir in their latest game within the Champions League on Wednesday night but fans are surprised United didn’t walk away victorious. Fans are calling for a change in management because of this defeat, but it seems that the Man United board are ignoring fans request and are backing Solskjær, stating “He is the man for the long-term”.

Man United are currently 15th in the Premier League after their terrible form at the start of the campaign, although they do have a game in hand from most of their opponents, meaning they could jump into 12th if they win that game.

Solskjaer laughed at the suggestion his job at Old Trafford was under threat after the defeat at the hands of Istanbul Basaksehir: "I decline to comment on such a thing" he said in his post-match press conference.

"Of course, it's early on and opinions are out there all the time. "You've got to stay strong. I'm employed by the club to do a job and I do that to the best of my ability with my staff."

Things must improve at Old Trafford

Manchester United haven’t had much luck this season by losing important games in both the Premier League and Champions League. More fans are going to be calling for Solskjær to be sacked if things don’t change, they have already stated their wishes to replace him with ex Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Man United are playing Everton at 12:30 pm today (Saturday 7th November).
