FOX Sports to cover the Formula E Race at Home Challenge

FOX Sports has recently announced that it will be broadcasting the Formula E Race at Home Challenge. The competition will last nine weeks and will feature all teams and drivers from the Formula E championships, there will also be some of the top gamers racing.

The Formula E Race at Home Challenge will begin Saturday, April 25, at 10:30 AM ET on FS1 with the first points race. The race will be using rFactor2 simulator software that currently has the latest Formula E cars and all up to date teams and iconic virtual street tracks.

The eSports racers will be sticking to the track rules as close as possible, with each setting a qualifying time prior to each race. The top 18 racers with the best qualifying times will be racing to win a chance to battle against the real world Formula E racers. The gamers race will run at the same time as the Formula E race.

FOX Sports have made the Formula E Race at Home part of its expanding eSports coverage, joining the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series and World of Outlaws. The coverage of eSport has seen a massive increase as a result of COVID-19, as real life sport has been cancelled around the world, electronic sports has taken precedence.
