Football: Fans allowed into English stadiums

Football clubs within England are set to allow limited numbers of fans into their respective stadiums. Each club will be held to a Tier system, Tier 1 and 2 will allow spectators to watch live football, Tier 3 must continue to hold events behind closed doors. Boris Johnson has stated that supporters will be allowed to attend football stadiums when the national lockdown ends on December 2nd.

This announcement will help football all over England, with the governing bodies of their respective clubs being able to let fans attend events otherwise postponed, cancelled or being held behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Tier 1 - allow up to 4,000 fans
Tier 2 - allow up to 2,000 fans
Tier 3 - Highest Risk - events to be held behind closed doors

Grassroots sport set to resume

All grassroots football and sports is set to resume from the 2nd of December once lockdown within England ends. Sport for all ages will be permitted in most places even if the area is affected by the Government's Covid-19 tier system.

Grassroots sports have been suspended since November 5th.
