FaZe clan, NRG eSports and Pittsburgh Knights show interest in LCK

FaZe clan, NRG eSports and Pittsburgh Knights have shown interest in joining the League of Legends tournament LCK. All three organisations have submitted a letter of intent to have a long standing partnership with Riot Games owned League of Legends Korean Competition. It was announced in April of 2020 that LCK would try and adopt a long standing partnership model in 2021.

Fomos has run a report and received data that there have been 25 teams submitting letters of intent. All 25 teams want to have the opportunity to become a partner, the league is currently moving away from the standard league promotions and relegations, instead they are in favour of bringing a model that has been previously adopted by LCS, LPL and LEC.

It is rumoured that the 10 existing teams that are part of LCK have also sent in a letter of intent, alongside these 10 teams, 8 additional organisations from the Challengers Korea league have shown interest. It doesn’t mean that all teams that have applied for a space in the league will get a spot.
