FA Cup to return on June 27th - 28th
The FA Cup has been pencilled in for a return on June 27th - 28th and for the final to be provisionally held on August 1st, with the Premier League resuming on June 17th and all 92 remaining matches being televised, it was inevitable that the FA Cup would make a comeback around the same time.
The quarter-finals of the FA Cup are scheduled for June 27th - 28th, while the semi finals are due for the 18-19th of July and the final is scheduled for August 1st but no venues or kick off times have been confirmed as of yet but as with every year both the semi final and finals are normally held at Wembley Stadium.
FA chief executive Mark Bullingham said: "We are pleased to agree the provisional restart date for the 2019/20 Emirates FA Cup. The competition has been an integral part of the English football calendar for nearly 150 years, and we'd like to thank the Premier League Executive and Clubs for their support in scheduling the remaining matches during this unprecedented time. This has been a difficult period for many people and while this is a positive step, the restart date is dependent on all safety measures being met. The health and wellbeing of players, staff and supporters remains our priority."
