Counter Strike: Global Offensive tournament announced by BLAST

BLAST have announced an online tournament that will see multiple teams battling it out on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for a prize pool of $30,000 (£26,193.09), the tournament will take an online platform following the same suit as prior tournaments because of the current pandemic.

The event will be broadcasted by a BLAST licensee Premier Polish. The tournament will see 16 sets of teams across Europe, battling it out, all with different skill sets, all for the chance to get their hands on the prize pool of $30,000 (£26,193.09). BLAST will be choosing teams that are out of the “upper reaches” of the competitive rankings.

The teams will be chosen and revealed by 28th of April, with 48 head to heads games and seven best of three games. This is the first step of BLAST’s commitment to helping the growth of upcoming teams.

Nicolas Estrup, Director of Product and Experience for BLAST has been speaking out about the new release of the event and said “At BLAST we love the elite and allow everyone to be a part of Premier through the Qualifier Series and the Race to the Global Final, but have created BLAST Rising to support teams and players at all stages of their careers. By giving teams and players more opportunity and exposure in the way only BLAST can, we want BLAST Rising to be a platform that drives forward their personal and team growth.”
