BLAST expand into Dota 2 and gets Betway support

BLAST has secured sponsorship for their latest event, BLAST Bounty Hunt. Betway, the online bookmaker has sponsored the event. The Danish company have begun their first jump into Dota with this event, they normally focus on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. This event was announced earlier this month.

On June 9th, Betway sponsored teams such as team Ninjas in Pyjamas will take on the likes of Alliance, Team Secret, Team Nigma, OG, and Team Liquid in the BLAST Bounty Hunt event. These teams will be competing over four consecutive days, the event will have a total prize pool of $145,000 (£117,455.80). Back in December 2019 Betway confirmed that they would be sponsoring BLAST Premier for the whole of the 2020 season.

Head of Esports at Betway, Adam Savinson,spoke on the release: “We have had an incredibly successful 2020 working with BLAST across their Counter-Strike tournaments, making it a very easy decision to support their entry into DOTA 2.
