BLAST and Saudi Arabia to team up to develop NEOM as eSports hub

The Danish tournament organiser BLAST has announced that they will be teaming up with Saudi Arabia to help shape and develop the NEOM city into a regional eSports hub. The new and innovative city is being developed with the intent to feature smart technology and bring in new innovators within the industry from all around the world. NEOM city has an expected completion date of 2025 where the first segment will be unveiled.

BLAST CEO, Robbie Douek, commented in a release: “Esports is at the centre of NEOM’s exciting plans for Sport; we’re delighted to be able to assist them in shaping this long-term goal.
