Arsenal sparks partnership with EGL to manage PES Esports team

Esports Entertainment Group (EEG) has announced that their online tournament provider, Esports Gaming League (EGL) will manage the Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) team. The eSports team currently owned by Top Flight English football club, Arsenal FC. The team will be taking part in the third season of the eFootball League, they will have nine other teams competing alongside them.

The Arsenal PES team is set to compete against the likes of FC Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and Juventus. The eFootball league has been originated by Pro Evolution Soccer developer Konami.

CEO of EGL, Glen Elliot, commented on the partnership: “Arsenal came within one point of Knockout Stage contention in their inaugural season last year, and we’re excited to see what happens this season.”

CEO of Esports Entertainment Group, Grant Johnson, also commented on the partnership: “Arsenal recognises the value of EGL’s wealth of experience in esports, and so do we. We look forward to completing the EGL acquisition and integrating Glen and his team’s expertise into our organisation."
