Allan Phang leaves AirAsia eSports

Allan Phang has left AirAsia eSports to take on a different role that will help the growth of the airline's eSports strategy. He started his work within the airline’s eSports section in 2017. Phang himself has spoken out about this new role, he expressed that it was time that he had a new challenge within this world of eSports.

Phang had been working for AirAsia for 7 years, working different departments around the company, his roles within AirAsia were group ancillary income, regional marketing, group partnerships and business development, corporate culture, employee engagement and internal branding. He also worked with the board that organised the AirAsia regional hackathon, AirAsia AIRVOLUTION 2017.

During his time at AirAsia Esports, Phang made partnerships with some of the biggest software and applications companies in the world, these companies include Razer, Alienware and Secretlab. While under Phangs control AirAsia announced that it would be building an eSports hub in Malaysia.
